A Green Festival for Kids and the Kid in You
Description: Following a morning of volunteer projects at schools and neighborhoods, students, families, and the public will join educators, artists, musicians, chefs, and performers for Livin' la Vida Verde Festival - a celebration of the power of youth and their families to promote sustainability.
When: October 27, Saturday, 12:30 to 5 p.m.
Where: Mission Manor Park, 6100 S. 12th Avenue
Who: Sunnyside School District, AAEE, and Sustainable Tucson
Festival Mission Statement: Livin' la Vida Verde Festival will engage participants to consider what it means to be sustainable. Participants will discover dozens of new ways to live and work with less impact on the environment; access resources in the community; apply their personal creativity toward innovative solutions that create a more sustainable future of our children.
Festival Objectives: Livin' la Vida Verde Festival seeks to promote sustainability as a way of life; demonstrate that everyone can creatively contribute to conservation and improving environmental outcomes; motivate residents to take positive actions that collectively transform Tucson to a place that values people, protects natural resources, and creates an economy that provides everyone with a chance to realize their full potential.

Get on the Bus to the Green Festival!
Take Sun Tran to the Livin’ la Vida Verde Festival on October 27, 12:30-4:30 at Mission Manor Park, 6100 S. 12th Avenue. 
There are several routes that serve Mission Park. Route 27 runs directly west of the park on Santa Clara; Route 24 runs directly east of the park on 12th Ave; and Route 29 runs south of the park on Valencia. Trip planning assistance is available on the website as well as by calling Customer Service at 792-9222.
