Tina Salata is currently an online, full-time assistant professor at Grand Canyon University in the College of Science, Engineering, and Technology where she has taught Environmental Biology and Introduction to Life Sciences. Tina obtained her M.S. in Environmental Science and Policy from Northern Arizona University. She obtained her B.S. in General Resource Management concentrating in Environmental Education and Interpretation, from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point.
Since 1998 she has worked on curriculum development and educational materials for nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and both K-12 and higher education institutions. In addition to teaching at the college level, Tina has taught in the elementary setting including camps, outreach programs, and afterschool programs. Tina is passionate about teaching because it opens students’ minds to new possibilities and increases critical thinking skills about environmental issues.
